The Queen of pop is back on track! part.2

Hi everybody, this is my first big article and i'm french so i'm a little insecure in english, so please be indulgent!
Love U All!!!
XoXo...Lucas

The Sticky and Sweet tour started after the release of the eleven Madonna’s Album, Hard Candy, where Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Kanye West and P. Williams, united their voices to create, with Madonna, a really good album inspired by the hip hop culture of the 90’s.

On this album, Madonna talk about her relationship with her husband Guy Ritchie, she also talks about her youth and how she’s not the same person that she was when she started signing. Hard Candy, is certainly not the best Madonna’s album but there is a lot of good songs and theirs also the song of the year ‘’4 minutes / featuring Timbaland & Timberlake’’, the music video of this song has been more watched than any other video on the planet and is was also the most downloaded song. Now let’s go back to main subject, the Sticky and Sweet tour!

The Sticky and Sweet tour was directed by Jamie King, just like the Confession Tour in 2006 and it was produced by Live Nation. The show was divided into 4 parts. The first one was the ‘’Pimp’’ section!

The introduction of this show was amazing; there was a projection of a Candy Factory on the stage. And the music was a Remix of Candy Shop with some samples of 4 minutes and Give it to me. After this fabulous introduction, Madonna arrived on stage, on a throne like a Queen, striking the Pose like Willy Wonka. And then she started signing the first song of her last album, Candy Shop, followed by the song Beat Goes On, where she arrive on stage in a white car, just like a pimp. The third song was Human Nature, a song from the album Bedtime Story (1994) with some sample of Gimme More by Britney Spears, on this song she took her Gibson Guitar and she started playing. In this show Madonna decided to use this song to talk about the paparazzi and the world that she lives in, and she just kept saying ‘’I’m not your bitch don’t hang your shit on me’’ and then at the end, we see Britney Spears took of her glasses and say ‘’It’s Britney Bitch’’ ,just like in Gimme More. The last song of the ‘’Pimp’’ part, Vogue was one of the best numbers of the show. The remix was unbelievable, there were some samples from 4 minutes, Give it to me and from the song Promiscuous Girl by Nelly Furtado. The choreography was amazing it was a mix of Voguing and Tecktonik, which is the new Voguing. This choreography was created by Brahim Rachiki and Jason Lester. Between the part 1 and the part 2 there was a little video that lead us to the ‘’Old School’’ part!

The ‘’Old School’’ part started with Into the groove, this song was remixed with the song Jump from the Confession on the dance floor (2006) album. On this song she took her jumping rope and she started jumping while she was signing, this was probably the most tiring moment for her, on this tour, but it was really cool. After this, she continued with Heartbeat and Borderline her first real success, remixed into a really good, Punk Rock version. The two last songs, She’s not me and Music were really good, especially Music with the introduction of Last night a DJ save my life , the song that may have inspired Madonna while she was writing Music in 2000. Between the part 2 and the part 3 there was a little video that lead us to the ‘’Gispsy’’ part, a video with the song Here Comes the Rain Again by Eurhythmics in it!

The ‘’Gipsy’’ part was probably the most beautiful part of the show, cause this is the part were all the ballads are, the first song Devil Wouldn’t Recognize you was magic she was on big piano, in a black cape, the lightings and the projections, everything was perfect. The song that followed, Spanish Lesson was ok but Miles Away was really something. Finally La Isla Bonita/ Lela Pala Tute and You Must Love Me the two songs in this part that really touches the peoples. Especially You Must Love Me , when the public started screaming ‘’We Love you Madonna!!!!’’ over and over again. Between the part 3 and the part 4 there was a video named Get Stupid, where she compared John McCain to a Nazi and Barack Obama to Mother Theresa. This video leads us to the big final the ‘’Rave Party’’ part!

The ‘’Rave Party’’ part was the more fun, the final part started with 4 minutes with Justin Timberlake on the screen, after this there was the song that every fans of Madonna was waiting for, Like A Prayer, a remix that will make you old your breath. After that, the show continued with Ray of light and a rock version of Hung Up and finally Give it to me the hit of Hard candy. The show ended with a big Game Over.

This was probably one of the best Madonna show ever, I really recommend you to see her once in your life even if don’t like her, you’ll love the show!!!
